Quilted cooking casserole carrier

image       This  pattern was quick and easy to make.  I used embroidery designs from Bernina.  The outside of the carrier has an embroidery design in each corner on blue background.      image The inside of the carrier was made using pieces of food novelty print. The pattern includes directions to make a patchwork design for the outside of the bag.  I quilted the four layers together with straight line quilting and avoided stitching on the embroidery designs.  The four layers are outside fabric, insul-brite fabric, cotton batting and backing fabric which becomes the inside of the carrier.        image I used my walking foot to stitch the quilting lines and to attach the binding.  I also used wonder clips to hold the binding in place to help with stitching on the binding.  There is a strap and 2 D-rings.  This bag will lay flat like a table topper so it can be used on a table to protect the table from the hot casserole dishes (added bonus). Keep having fun sewing and quilting.  Donna
