Sliding fabric boxes

I heard about this book from a friend at a quilting class – Stitched Sewing Organizers by Aneela Hoey.  There are 15 projects in the book.  I chose to make 3 sliding fabric boxes.  Sliding boxes are good for keeping your threads and sewing gadgets together especially when taking supplies to quilt retreat or classes.  Each box has the same black and white zipper fabric for the sliding box.  I used different fabrics for the outside fabric case.  The finished box is about 7″ wide x 2.5″ high x 9.5″ .  I use Pellon Peltex (double sided) for the heavyweight interfacing and Shape-flex for the woven interfacing.  The boxes were fun to make and the directions and pictures were helpful.  Have fun sewing and quilting.  Donna
