Upcycled market tote

imageHere is another upcycled market tote using a canvas tote with a logo on it. It was an opportunity to use up some of my food novelty fabrics.  I ripped out the seams on the sides of the tote bag.  Then I cut strips of fabric about 3 ” – 4″ wide and about an inch longer than the width of the side of the tote bag.  I cut the gentle curves and then pieced the strips back together match the size of the tote bag.       imageAfter pinning the curved piecing fabric to the tote, I stitched the new  fabric piece to the tote.  After stitching up the side seams, the tote was finished.  I found this tutorial on the Bernina USA website – We all sew projects.  Keep having fun sewing and quilting.  Donna
