Northern Lights quilt pattern by Jaybird Quilts

image             I made this pattern as a mini-pattern ( the size of a placemat) in January. This time I made a larger version of this pattern about the size of a table topper.  The quilt has 8 rows of half hexagons made with the Hex-N-More ruler and 6 fabrics.  The pattern has directions to make larger quilts using the ruler.  Using high contrast fabrics is important with this pattern so that you can see the design.  The pattern designer used all solids for her quilt.  For the backing, I made 4 strips of some leftover fabric from the quilt top.  The directions are easy to follow.  Keep having fun sewing and quilting.
