Visiting Santa Fe

DSCN8638              DSCN8528Earlier this month Mary and I went to Santa Fe for a week to take a quilting class. DSCN8516Santa Fe is about 7000 ft above sea level.  The first couple of days we drank lots of water to help us get used to the higher elevation. We had  great weather – mostly sunny.   We stayed at La Fonda hotel on the plaza in downtown Santa Fe.  It was a beautiful hotel with artwork to enjoy throughout the hotel.  Santa Fe is full of art galleries and outdoor markets.   Canyon Road which was a short walk from our hotel had about a mile of art galleries and lots of outdoor art exhibits.  It was fun checking out the artwork inside and outside.  There were lots of great restaurants in town to enjoy.   Keep having fun creating and quilting. 1. Beautiful! Do either one of you read mysteries. “Rainbows End” by Martha Grimes, features a stay at the la Fonda in Santa Fe and a ‘tour’ of the surrounding area.
