Georgia O’Keeffe museum, Santa Fe

DSCN8534           While Mary and I were staying in Santa Fe earlier this month, we visited the  DSCN8535Georgia O’Keeffe museum.  It was a very inspiring museum with beautiful paintings of large scale flowers/ natural forms and New Mexico scenery. Great inspiration for future quilts. Currently at the museum until September 17, 2014, there is a special exhibit called “The Hawaii Pictures”.  In this exhibit there are paintings of flowers by Georgia O’Keeffe and black and white photographs by Ansel Adams.  It was a wonderful exhibit but we couldn’t take DSCN8537pictures of this exhibit.  We watched a couple of short films about her life.  She lived until the age of 98.  She had an amazing career. Have fun creating and quilting.  Donna       DSCN8538
