Quilt of Valor

Quilt top

Woohoo!   I finished my Quilt of Valor.   Another UFO completed.

I finished the lasagna style quilt top last year but it’s been waiting for the backing and the quilting to be done.    It feels so good to finish this project.

Quilt back

I hope it goes to a someone that likes motorcycles.

The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover all service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.

About Lasagna quilts (also known as a Jelly roll quilt):   These strip quilts are quick, easy and fun.   You can make one in 30 mins to 2 hrs.   Some quilt shops even host Lasagna/Jelly Roll quilt races where quilters get together with their sewing machines and everyone makes a quilt top and race to see who can make it in the shortest amount of time.    Here is a great youtube video on how to make a Lasagna/Jelly roll quilt ==> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bEJLnaZQOU
