Back from Quilt Market in Houston

DSCN7740DSCN7796             We had so much fun at Quilt Market.  It was our first trip to Market. It was like a quilt show in every booth.  There were 24 aisles of vendors and about 20-30 vendors in each aisle. We arrived on Saturday morning after leaving on a 5:30 am flight.  So much to see.  It was great seeing new patterns made up into quilts so we could see what they looked like.  So many new fabrics to look at too.  We had fun talking with fabric designers and pattern makers.  Saw lots of new products and watched demos.  Took some classes before the Market opened in the mornings. We also got to see the Quilt Show – so many beautiful and amazing quilts.  The winners were not posted yet but we were very inspired by the quilts.  Of course there was chocolate.  Most of the booths had chocolate candy at their booths since it was almost Halloween.  The chocolate helped us keep our energy up so we could see all the vendors each day before the market closed at 6 PM. At night we checked the brochures and information we had picked up so we could decide which booths to go back to and order new fabric and patterns for our shop.  On Saturday night we went to a Moda party at the Hilton – nice sit down dinner.  We were sure ready to sit down for dinner.  Can’t wait to get the new products and fabrics that we ordered at the Market.    Have fun sewing and creating.
