In memory of our dad and his help with the Quilt Diva

DSCN4043Today is the first anniversary of our dad’s passing.  In his memory I wanted to post the picture of the quilt that he helped to make.  Our dad came down from New York twice a year to visit 4 of his 5 children who lived in North Carolina and the grandchildren for almost 20 years.  He came in the summer (either July or August) and at Christmas.  While staying at my house in the summer of 2006, dad helped me make the Quilt Diva.  Dad loved to do puzzles and this applique pattern was like a puzzle to him.  He helped to cut out the pieces after I had fused the pieces to the fabric.  After all the fabric pieces were fused and cut out, he helped to fit all the pieces together to make the Quilt Diva.  Thanks for your help, dad.  We miss you.  Donna
