Farmer’s market table topper

I decided to use lots of my fruit and vegetable fabrics for the November table topper.  First I thought about making half square triangles with the fabrics. But I needed a break from making half square triangles.  So I cut out 6″ squares and sewed squares into rows about the length of the table.  Next I cut the rows lengthwise 2″ from one edge so I had a 2″ and 4″ strips.  I offset the rows to create interest and alternated the narrow strip with the wider strip.  I really like the quilt with all the different fruits and vegetables.  So now I am done with my year long project of making a monthly table topper for our sun porch.  All the table toppers are reversible except for June and July.  I had fun with this project and enjoyed trying new techniques and using fabric from my stash.
