Piping 101

I’ve seen piping on quilts instead of inner borders and love the look.   So, I took a class at our local Bernina shop and learned how to do piping on a 12″ block.     I piped on the inner border (green) and also on the outer border (yellow).  Then I added green binding on the outside edge. I am really pleased with the end result.  Not too shabby for a beginner.

I was also happy to be the leader (1st to finish the project) in the class.   Maybe I’m not as inexperienced as I think I am.   It was a confidence building experience.

Hey… now I have something new to share with Donna (as she has not done any piping yet).   Kinda cool when the student becomes the teacher (even if it is only for one little thing).

Happy Stitching.
